How to Generate Business Leads

3 minutes read

Getting your brand out there and generating leads can be a difficult task.  There is so much competition in every industry these days – that it can be hard to stand out in the crowd.  We’ve put together a list of some ways that you can generate some business leads to boost sales in your company.

Create a Great Website

Your website is the first thing that people see if they search for you on search engines.  Therefore, it’s essential that you create a great first impression.  It’s important that your website is mobile-friendly for mobile users, and that when they get to your site they know exactly who you are and what you do. It should be as user-friendly as possible, so they can get to the information they need to without a hitch.

Telemarketing Services

Although some people may see this as a bit old-fashioned in the digital age, companies such as Prospect business research do a great job in generating leads doing this.  They find out exactly the kind of client you are looking for and will bring you qualified leads that are likely to convert.  It’s a great way to get in front of potential clients that you wouldn’t normally be in touch with.

Get SEO Ready

SEO is more than just a nice website. You need to make sure you have created content with the target keywords in mind, and that is relevant to what you are offering. If you simply copy this from another source, this will cause Google to penalize you.  You also should be updating your website regularly with up to date content.  This could be anything from a conference you have attended to some industry news.  There are also some great free SEO tools out there such as SEM Rush that will let you know what you rank for and how you progress.

Boost your Social Media Presence

These days a lot of leads come via social media.  They can come from you creating targeted ad campaigns where you are generating posts to reach a certain demographic.  As well as this simply posting updates about your company as a whole.  If someone has a birthday or gets promoted – share it on social media.  If you went to or hosted a training course, let people know.  People buy into company personalities, so if you let people know a bit more about you – they are more likely to make a purchase.

Google AdWords Campaigns

If you are looking for some quick-fire results, then Google AdWords campaigns could be what you are looking for. Effectively you can pay Google to rank for certain keywords to make sure you get 1st page results.  This generates results much more quickly but will cost you money – and also takes some management.

If you are looking to generate more leads for your business, then hopefully this helpful list will give you an idea as to where to start.
